mountain bike the island and observe a real tranquil life style of sea gypsy
villagers, watch how your sneaker soles are made from the rubber plantation
and production, see the island's best preserved mangrove forest with sea monkeys
on the feeding for crabs on low tide, see fish and lobster farming,
and snorkeling on the crystal clear water of Khai Noi island.
On certain day you may be lucky to see dolphin swimming along side your
boat.

Bike route around the island.
The north route includes the tranquil beach of
Po bay, the
Kao Pra Taew Wildlife Sanctuary, the Gibbon Rehabilitation Center, Tone Sai
Waterfall, Rice paddy field with water buffalos at work or the serene buddhist
temples.
The east route includes the visit to fresh market in town
where you will enjoy the sight, sound and smell of real Thai, the century-old
Sino-Portuguese style building on Debuk road, the scenic view of Phuket town
from Kao Rang Hill, the tranquil village of sea gypsy at Seray Island or the
busy fish market at the Chalong fisherman pier.
The west route is of course the busy strip of
Patong Beach,
Karon Beach or the more quiet beach of Kamala or just cruising through the
rubber plantation. For those who prefer nature and local culture
exploring, stay away from this route.
The south route includes the visit to serene
Rawai beach where
sea food stall are abundant, the Marine Biologist Center, and the famous
Sea Shell Museum, be blessed at Chalong Temple and of course not to be missed, the sunset view at
Promthep Cape.
Or for those who prefer a shorter
and more relax route, just cross the street and cruise through the greenery golf
fairway. You will find lush tropical garden and peaceful view of Bangwad
Reservoir, where the locals come for jogging at end of days. Or bike
up few kilometers through quiet town of Kathu and cool your self down at Kathu
Waterfall.
Mountain Biking the island and you will discover the
hidden charm of Phuket, the Andaman Pearl that is much more than just sea and surf.
